(d-1) On and after July 1, 1967, the classifications and pay scales of the several
positions referred to in this section shall be in the same relative position in the
standard salary scale then in effect as in the standard salary scales in effect on

annually such sums as may be required to pay the remaining forty per centum
(40%) of said salaries. Notwithstanding the provision of this subsection, in Anne

prescribed in this subsection. In Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, and
Washington counties, the counties shall provide a supplement often percent (10%)
above the applicable scales.
(f) The board of county commissioners or the county council of any county and
the mayor and city council of Baltimore in its discretion may levy and pay an
additional sum in excess of the salary schedules provided in this section as extra
compensation for any such position. In such event, however, the portion of the
salaries to be paid by the State shall be limited to the amount and percentage for
any such position which are specified in this section.
(g) Nothing in this section shall be construed or applied so as to reduce the
aggregate salary being received as of June 30, 1957, by any person, including any
local supplementation to his salary in addition to the salary received under any
State schedule of payments.]
