hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
16B.
(e) Beginning on the second Thursday in the month of July, [[ [ ]] 1973 [[ ]
]] [[1974]], and on this same day in each year thereafter, there shall be an
election among the residents of the special taxing area to fill the places on the
Committee then expiring. Each of these elections shall be under the supervision
and direction of the [Board of Supervisors of Elections of Allegany County]
BOWLING GREEN AND ROBERT'S PLACE COMMITTEE. The elections
shall be conducted generally in conformity with the provisions of Article 33 of the
Annotated Code. [The Board of Supervisors of Elections and the Board of County
Commissioners of Allegany County shall do such things as are necessary and
proper to conduct the annual elections in the special taxing area.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to add new Section 119(h) to Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Health,"
subtitle "Practitioners of Medicine," to follow immediately after Section 119(g)
thereof, to provide an additional definition to the term "Practice of medicine"
which will include within the meaning of that term the use of the word or letters
"Dr.", "Doctor", "M.D." or any other title in connection with a person's name,
with the intent thereby to imply that he or she is engaged in the [[art or science
of healing or in the]] practice of medicine [[in]] or any of its branches.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 119(h) be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Health," subtitle "Practitioners of Medicine," to follow
immediately after Section 119(g) thereof, and to read as follows:
119.
(H) "PRACTICE OF MEDICINE" SHALL INCLUDE:
(1) THE USE OF THE WORDS OR LETTERS "DR.", "DOCTOR",
"M.D." OR ANY OTHER TITLE IN CONNECTION WITH A PERSON'S
NAME, WITH THE INTENT THEREBY TO IMPLY THAT HE OR SHE IS
ENGAGED [[IN THE ART OR SCIENCE OF HEALING, OR]] IN THE
PRACTICE OF MEDICINE [[IN]] OR ANY OF ITS BRANCHES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
