CHAPTER 554
(House Bill 576)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-108(d) of Article 93
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Decedents' Estates," subtitle "II. The Court," subheading
"The Probate Court," to provide for increasing judges' compensation in
Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-108(d) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Decedents'
Estates," subtitle "II. The Court," subheading "The Probate Court," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

2-108.

(d) The salary of the judges of the court for Baltimore County shall be [eight
thousand dollars ($8,000)] TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) per annum;
and the chief judge shall receive [[and]] AN additional five hundred dollars
($500) per annum.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the Chief Judge, or the judges of
the Court for Baltimore County, in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act shall take effect with the next term of office.

SECTION [[2]] 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 555
(House Bill 583)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 16B(e) of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle
"Bowling Green and Robert's Place Special Taxing Area," as added by Chapter
637 of the Acts of 1972; to provide that as of a certain date, the yearly election
of Bowling Green and Robert's Place Committee persons shall be under the
supervision and direction of the Committee.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 16B(e) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Bowling Green and Robert's Place
Special Taxing Area," as added by Chapter 637 of the Acts of 1972, be and is
