6-105.

(c)  A person to whom an instruction and examination license has been issued
may take the final examination for a driver's license no sooner than 14 days from
the date the instruction and examination license was issued. THE 14 DAYS'
REQUIREMENT MAY BE WAIVED IF A SUBSEQUENT INSTRUCTION
AND EXAMINATION LICENSE IS ISSUED OR IF APPLICATION IS
MADE FOR A SUBSEQUENT INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION
LICENSE.

(d)  An instruction and examination license shall expire [60] 90 days after the
date it is issued.

(e)  A driver's license may be issued without the prior issuance of an instruction
and examination license, and without a 14-day waiting period, to any person who
has been regularly licensed to drive in THIS STATE, another state or country or
by the armed forces of the United States, if the [Department]
ADMINISTRATION is satisfied that the applicant's experience in driving vehicles
which may be driven by holders of the class or classes of license sought by the
applicant is sufficient to justify the issuance of the license without further
behind-the-wheel training. THE APPLICANT'S DRIVING MAY BE
DETERMINED BY EXAMINATION OF EACH APPLICANT PROVIDED
FOR IN SECTION 6-110.(A) AS AMENDED.

6-111.1.

(a)  A fee of eight dollars ($8.00) shall be paid to the Department at the time an
application is submitted to the Department for an original license. Four dollars
($4.00) of said fee shall go into a special fund in the State treasury known as the
Driver Education Fund, which moneys shall be accumulated until expended as
provided in this section. Out of such funds from and after July 1, 1962, the
Department of Education shall provide for driver education for public high school
students in the various counties and Baltimore City. The Department of Education
shall apportion the revenues in the fund to the various subdivisions on the basis of
the number of students enrolled in the driver training program in the respective
subdivisions. The balance of said funds shall not revert to the general treasury, but
shall be dedicated and held for driver education.

(b)  A fee of two dollars ($2.00) shall be paid for the renewal and conversion of
a license to [a] EITHER Class A, Class B, Class C or Class D if the applicant
provides acceptable evidence of experience in operating a vehicle in the class for
which application is made.

(C) A FEE OF TWO DOLLARS ($2.00) SHALL BE PAID FOR THE
RENEWAL OF ANY CLASSIFIED LICENSE TO A CLASSIFIED LICENSE
OF THE SAME CLASS.

[(c)](D) A fee of eight dollars ($8.00) shall be paid for the renewal and
conversion of a license to [a] EITHER Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D or

dollars ($4.00) of said fee shall go to THE special fund as provided for in
subsection (a) of this section.

(E) A FEE OF EIGHT DOLLARS ($8.00) SHALL BE PAID UPON
COMPLETION OF THE REQUIRED TESTS FOR A LICENSE OF A
