Commission shall set rates for [[sewerage 11 sewage disposal systems supplied
within [tor outside 11 the taxable limits of any county or municipal corporation
which has applied for such rate setting, to provide for a certain exception and
relating generally to sewage disposal companies.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section [[55-1/2]] 55B be and it is hereby added to
Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and
1972 Supplement), title "Public Service Commission Law," subtitle "Public
Service Companies," to follow immediately after Section [ [55]] 55A thereof, and
to be under the new subheading "Sewage Disposal Companies," and to read as
follows:
SEWAGE DISPOSAL COMPANIES

UPON WRITTEN APPLICATION OF ANY COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION OF MARYLAND, THE COMMISSION SHALL FIX OR
ALTER RATES (AND ONLY RATES) FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL
[[SYSTEMS]] SERVICE. SUPPLIED WITHIN [[OR OUTSIDE]] THE
TAXABLE LIMITS OF THE APPLICANT BY ANY OTHER COUNTY OR
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AS IF THE SUPPLYING SUBDIVISION
WERE A SEWAGE DISPOSAL COMPANY. THIS SECTION DOES NOT
APPLY WHERE THE RATES ARE PROVIDED FOR BY CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE RECEIVING AND SUPPLYING SUBDIVISIONS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to add new Section 211R to Article 89B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "State
Roads," subtitle "Expenditure of Commission's Funds and Programming and
Scheduling of Highway Projects," to follow immediately after Section 211Q
thereof, to provide for inclusion of a highway reconstruction project in
Baltimore County in the State Highway Administration's official twenty-year
needs study, this project being the reconstruction of a portion of Maryland
Route 150 in that County.
WHEREAS, Eastern Boulevard, a primary road in Baltimore County, is
designated State Route 150 and is maintained by the Maryland State Highway
Administration; and
WHEREAS, the drainage along this suburban arterial highway consists of open
ditches and is lacking adequate storm drains; and
WHEREAS, flooding of Eastern Boulevard results following every rain storm,
creating a serious hazard to traffic and flood damage to adjacent businesses and
properties; and
