CHAPTER 473
(Senate Bill 1071)

AN ACT to add new Section 64A(e) to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Allegany County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, being Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle
"County Commissioners," to follow immediately after subsection 64A(d)
thereof, as added by Chapter 254 of the Acts of 1972; to exempt a
transportation commission created pursuant to Section 64A of Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County from all taxes and generally
relating to the Allegany County Transportation Commission.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 64A(e) be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, being
Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany
County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to follow immediately after subsection
64A(d) thereof, as added by Chapter 254 of the Acts of 1972, and to read as
follows:

64A.

(E) ANY AND ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY (BOTH
TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE) AND ANY AND ALL RIGHT, TITLE
AND INTEREST THEREIN, GROSS RECEIPTS, GROSS OR NET
INCOME, PURCHASES, SALES, FRANCHISES, LICENSES,
OPERATIONS, ACTIVITIES AND FUNCTIONS, OWNED, OR
CONTROLLED OR RECEIVED, OR MADE, OR PERFORMED OR
CARRIED ON, BY THE TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION CREATED
PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION SHALL BE AND REMAIN TOTALLY
EXEMPT FROM ALL TAXES, ASSESSMENTS, CHARGES AND FEES OF
EVERY KIND, IMPOSED, LEVIED OR MADE BY THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, ANY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION THEREOF, OR ANY
AGENCY OR INSTRUMENTALITY OF ANY OF THEM.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to add new Sections 156(c) and (d) to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Ellerslie Special Tax
Area," to follow immediately after Section 156(b) thereof, to provide that in the
