Governor by the Maryland Agricultural Commission and shall con-
tain the names of at least two nominies for each office to be filled.]
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, the
original term of office of one of the members of the board of regents
whose office is established on June 1, 1970, shall commence on the
first Monday of June of 1970 and shall expire on the first Monday in
June of 1972, [and the original term of office of the other member of
the board of regents whose office is established on June 1, 1970, shall
commence on the first Monday in June of 1970, and shall expire on
the first Monday of June of 1972,] and the original term of office of
the other member of the board of regents whose office is established
on June 1, 1970, shall commence on the first Monday in June of
1970, and shall expire on the first Monday on June of 1973. There-
after, the terms of office of the members of the board of regents
established on June 1, 1970, shall be five years.
Sec. 4. Be it further enacted, That Sections 9, 10, 11(a), 11(b),
43, 56, 58(a), 61(k), 63 and 64 of Article 48 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Inspections," sub-
titles "Tobacco" and "State Tobacco Authority"; Sections 74 through
79 and 81 through 85 of said article and title, subtitle "State Horti-
cultural Department"; Sections 96, 97, 98 and 101 of said article and
title, subtitle "Tree and Fruit Inspectors—The Yellows' "; Section
144(a) of said article and title, subtitle "Agricultural Lime," be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and that
Sections 70 through 73 and 86 of said article and title, subtitle "State
Horticultural Department"; Sections 95 and 100 of said article and
title, subtitle "Tree and Fruit Inspectors—'The Yellows' "; and Sec-
tion 157(c) of said article and title, subtitle "Seed" be and they are
hereby repealed, all to read as follows:

The Secretary of Agriculture, with the approval of the Governor,
shall appoint one Inspector of Tobacco, who shall be a tobacco grower
or duly qualified leaf tobacco dealer and resident of one of the tobacco
growing counties of this State. He shall receive such salary as the
legislature shall provide in the general appropriation or budget bill
and he shall have charge of the State tobacco warehouse to be located
in one of the following counties: Anne Arundel, Calvert, St. Mary's,
Prince George's or Charles, and other property connected there-
with, and the Secretary of Agriculture, with the approval of the
Governor, may remove said Inspector at his pleasure.

The Inspector so appointed shall, upon entering the performance of
his duties, be covered by a surety bond in accordance with the provi-
sions of Sections 46 through 50 of Article 78A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland; and he shall take charge of all the tobacco warehouses
in Baltimore City and the State tobacco warehouse and all of the to-
bacco, books, furniture, appurtenances and effects belonging to the
same, and shall receipt to his predecessor in office for the same,
and upon the appointment and qualification of his successor, shall
deliver the same to said successor, and take a similar receipt. Said
Inspector shall, personally or by a sampler or samplers, in this ar-
ticle provided for, inspect all tobacco in said warehouse, but neither
