(House Bill 1255)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 16-11 (e)
of subtitle 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore City
(1969 Edition), (being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Police Department,"
providing that the Commissioner of Police shall be considered an
aggrieved party under the Administrative Procedure Act for the
purposes of certain appeals in disciplinary proceedings, and
correcting a reference.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 16-11(e) of subtitle 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Baltimore City (1969 Edition), (being Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle
"Police Department," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
16-11.
(e) Administrative Procedure Act. The provisions of the Ad-
ministrative Procedure Act, Article 41, [Section 244-256,] Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition) [1965 Replacement Volume]
shall govern the procedure to be followed in disciplinary hearings
before the Commissioner or Disciplinary Board, including any ap-
peals therefrom to the courts, including the Court of Appeals of
Maryland. The Commissioner shall be considered an aggrieved
party for the purposes of appeal from any adverse ruling of the
Baltimore City Court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal Section 254 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Calvert County (1963 Edition and 1970 Supplement, being Article 5
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Calvert
County," subtitle "Sheriff," to remove the charges and allowances
granted to the Sheriff of Calvert County for the boarding of
prisoners, travel and attendance in Court.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 254 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Calvert County
(1963 Edition and 1970 Supplement, being Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Calvert County," subtitle
"Sheriff," be and it is hereby repealed.
