temporary bonds shall be issued in all respects subject to the re-
strictions and requirements set forth herein. The County may by
appropriate resolution, provide for the replacement of any bonds
issued hereunder which shall have become mutilated or be destroyed
or lost upon such conditions and after receiving such indemnity as
the County may think it proper and necessary to stipulate and re-
quire.
Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That any and all obligations
issued pursuant to the authority of this Act and THEIR TRANSFER,
the interest payable thereon, and the ANY income derived therefrom
in the hands of the holders thereof from time to time, INCLUDING
ANY PROFIT MADE IN THE SALE OR EXCHANGE THEREOF,
shall be and is hereby declared to be exempt from State, county and
municipal taxation of every kind and nature whatsoever in the State
of Maryland.
Sec. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

(House Bill 857)
AN ACT to add new Sections 339A, 339B, 339C and 339D to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961 Edition,
being Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County," subtitle
"Roads," to follow immediately after Section 339 thereof, and to
be under the new subheading "Opening of Road and Street Sur-
faces," to require that persons opening the surfaces of roads or
streets obtain permits in Dorchester County and to impose a crimi-
nal penalty on persons who commit certain acts or omit certain
acts relating to the opening of surfaces of roads and street, to
impose certain duties on the County Road Engineer, and generally
relating to the opening of surfaces of roads and street in Dorchester
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 339A, 339B, 339C, and 339D be added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961 Edition, being
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Code
of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County," subtitle "Roads," to
follow immediately after Section 339 thereof, and to be under the
new subheading "Opening of Road and Street Surfaces," and to read
as follows:
339 A.
(a) Any person, firm, or corporation shall obtain a permit from
the County Road Engineer prior to opening the surface of any road,
street, or public thoroughfare.
