and regulations, subject to the approval of the County Commis-
sioners; providing for penalties for violations of the regulations;
and generally relating thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 226 (c) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," subheading "Board of Parks and Recreation," as added,
1965 Code, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

226.

(c) The Board shall annually select a chairman and a vice chair-
man from its membership; and it shall also select a secretary and a
treasurer, who may or may not be members thereof. The Board may
require the treasurer to give bond in such amount as it may deter-
mine, and it is further authorized to adopt all necessary rules and
regulations for the conduct of its business and for the protection of
properties under its control. The Board shall hold such regular and
special meetings as it may deem necessary. The Board is authorized
to determine all questions of general policy relating to parks and
public recreation in Harford County and to supervise the expendi-
ture of funds appropriated to these purposes. The Board, subject to
the approval of the County Commissioners, may adopt rules and reg-
ulations relating to the use, care and maintenance of parks and rec-
reational facilities. It shall be a misdemeanor to violate any regula-
tion adopted by the Board, and any person so convicted of a violation
shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) and may be sen-
tenced to thirty (30) days in jail, either, or both, in the discretion
of the court before whom the person shall be tried.
It may appoint
advisory committees or panels to assist in the exercise of its powers
and functions.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 250
(Senate Bill 922)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 114 (c) of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and
Fish," subheading "Department of Game and Inland Fish," pro-
viding that all notices of regulations with required publication
must be made in a newspaper published in each county being
affected by the new regulations.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
