or dentists, and/or an optometrist or optometrists, to persons who
become subscribers to such plan under contracts which entitle each
subscriber to certain hospital, medical, chiropodial, pharmaceutical,
dental or optometric care or any of them, shall be governed and
regulated by the provisions of this subtitle, and by no other law
relating to insurance unless such law is referred to under this sub-
title, and no law hereafter enacted shall apply to such corporations,
unless they are expressly designated therein, and specifically refer
to such corporations.
(b) Any nonprofit health plan which provides pharmaceutical
services shall grant to any subscriber, member or beneficiary the
right to have any prescription filled at the pharmacy of the sub-
scriber's, member's, or beneficiary's choice.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 224
(Senate Bill 633)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 700(e)
of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "III
Places of Reformation and Punishment," subheading "Prisoners,"
and to add new Section 700(f) to said article, title, subtitle and
subheading, allowing an additional deduction from sentences of
up to five days a month for satisfactory industry in special work
projects or programs, subject to forfeiture for violation of rules
or want of care.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 700(e) of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments,"
subtitle "III Places of Reformation and Punishment," subheading
"Prisoners" be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and that new Section 700(f) be and it is hereby added to said
article, title, subtitle and subheading, to follow immediately after
Section 700(e) thereof, all to read as follows:
700.
(e) For each and every violation of the rules and discipline of the
institution, of want of fidelity or care in the performance of work
or lack of industry, application, or progress in vocational or educa-
tional training, the person herein confined shall not only forfeit all
gained time in the month in which such delinquency occurs, but ac-
cording to the aggravated nature or frequency of his offense, the
Department may deduct a portion or all of his gained time for good
conduct under subsections (b) and (f) of this section, but the deduc-
tion allowed and earned under subsections (c) and (d) hereof shall
not be affected thereby.
