(18)   For entering any confessed judgment $8.00

(19)  For recording the full proceedings of any action of ejectment
among the judicial records of the court $25.00

(20)  For receiving, filing, indexing and entering any federal tax
lien $3.00. For filing and entering release or waiver of same $3.00

(21)   For drawing, empaneling and swearing a jury $4.00

Section 38. And be it further enacted, That Sections 17, 18, 20(a)
through (1), inclusive, 21(a) through (f) inclusive, 22, and 22A of
Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume), title "Fees of Officers," subtitles "Constables," "Justices of
the Peace," and "Criers," respectively, be and they are hereby re-
pealed.

§ 17. Enumeration.

[The several constables in this State shall be entitled to demand
and receive the following fees, to wit:

For serving State warrant and return..........................................$ .75

For serving search warrant.............................................................75

For serving summons in civil suit and return............................45

For serving summons for witness and return, each witness.....20

For serving scire facias and return...............................................40

For levying fieri facias and return.................................................20

For delivering a person committed over to the jailor, seventy-
five cents, and five cents per mile for every mile he may have
to travel and the actual necessary traveling expenses of each
prisoner.

For summoning jury on inquest, each juror.................................15

For levying attachments for contempt.........................................75

For serving writ of replevin and return.........................................45

For serving warrant for distraint ................................................25

For summoning and swearing appraisers on distress for rent,
and in replevin, each appraiser...................................................25

For serving an attachment in the hands of each garnishee.......50

For killing dog found killing sheep, to be paid by the owner of
the dog, in Caroline, Cecil, Howard, Dorchester, Wicomico
and Worcester .............................................................................. 4.00

In other counties...................................................................... 1.00

For poundage fees on any distraint, replevin, attachment or
fieri facias, eight percent on the first twenty-five dollars and
three percent on the residue; but if the defendant shall
supersede the judgment on which the execution or attach-
ment shall have issued within four days after the same shall
have been levied or served, the constable shall only be en-
titled to receive one half of said poundage fees.
