each stroke not less than ¼ inch in width, except that the number
on plates for vehicles which require only one registration plate shall
be not less than 1 inch high, with each stroke not less than ⅛ inch
in width. The registration number may consist of letters, numerals,
or both. Registration plates shall not be reflectorized but shall be
manufactured of a material or processed material warranted to have
a durability of not less than 5 years.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 100
(Senate Bill 597)

AN ACT to add new Section 61B to Article 17 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title "Clerks of
Courts," subtitle "Clerks of Circuit Courts and Superior Court
of Baltimore City," to follow immediately after Section 61A
thereof, providing that plats in Garrett County shall be a certain
size and requiring an index sheet showing the entire subdivision
drawn to scale when more than one plat is required.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 61B be and it is hereby added to Article 17 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title
"Clerks of Courts," subtitle "Clerks of Circuit Courts and Superior
Court of Baltimore City," to read as follows:

61B.

In Garrett County the size of the sheet (plat) shall be eighteen
(18) by twenty-four (24) inches, including a one and one-half (1½)
inch margin for binding along the left edge. When more than one
sheet is required, an index sheet of the same size shall be submitted
showmg the entire subdivision drawn to scale.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
