CHAPTER 84
(Senate Bill 146)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 28 of
Article 32 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Dentistry," subtitle "Dental Hygienists,"
to increase the length of time for a dental hygientist applicant
to submit required credentials for examination.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 28 of Article 32 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume), title "Dentistry," subtitle "Dental
Hygienists," be, and it is hereby, repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, to read as follows:

28. Qualifications of applicants.

When applying to the Board for examination, the applicant shall
submit [his] all required credentials at least [seven (7)] thirty (SO)
days prior to the examination date. The applicant shall:

(a)    Be a graduate of a school for dental hygienists requiring
at least two years of study that is approved by the State Board
of Dental Examiners.

(b)    Be of good moral character.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to add new Sections 25(L) and 45(d-l) to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume AND
1971 SUPPLEMENT), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitles
Special and Temporary Licenses" and "General Provisions on Issue
of Licenses," respectively, to follow immediately after Section 35
(K) 25(K-1) and 45(d), thereof, respectively, to create a special
permit for certain alcoholic beverage licenses in Allegany County,
to provide restrictions on the special permits issued SUBJECT TO
A CERTAIN PROVISION to provide the fee for special permits,
and provide pro-rata credit for the unexpired portion of the license
held when the special permit is received.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 25(L) and 45(d-l) be and they are hereby added
to Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
