Exception No. 2. The neutral conductor which shall have an
ampacity in conformity with Section 220-4(d), but shall not be
smaller than the ungrounded conductors when these are No. 8 or
smaller.

Exception No. 3. All new single-family or two-family residential
construction shall have electrical service of not less than one hundred
fifty amperes; except, that less than one hundred fifty amperes may
be installed for controlling (a) temporary installations, (b) emer-
gency or exit lighting, (c) permanent installations consisting of not
more than two fifteen or twenty amperes; two wire branch circuits
used for general lighting or appliance purposes.

83-59. Section 230-75 added.

A new Section 230-75 is hereby added to the 1968 National
Electrical Code adopted by this Chapter to follow immediately after
Section 230-74 thereof, and to read as follows:

230-75. Location of panel boards. Branch circuit protective
devices shall be located in and for each occupancy or in a location
accessible to all occupants. Nothing contained herein shall be con-
strued to permit the installation of any outlet or device in any build-
ing, structure, or premises the control and protection of which is not
accessible to the occupant at all times.

83-60. Section 240-6 amended.

Section 240-6 of the 1968 National Electrical Code adopted by
this Chapter is hereby amended to read as follows:

240-6. Fuses.

(a)    Plug fuses and fuseholders shall not be used in circuits
exceeding 125 volts between conductors, except in circuits supplied
from a system having a grounded neutral and no conductor in such
circuits operating at more than 150 volts to ground.

(b)     Cartridge fuses and fuseholders rated at 300 volts shall not
be used in circuits exceeding 300 volts between conductors, except in
circuits supplied from a system having a grounded neutral and no
conductor in such circuits operating at more than 300 volts to ground.

(c)    The screw-shell of plug-type fuseholders shall be connected
to the load side of the circuit.

(d)    All plug-type fuses used in new electrical installations in
all types of new or existing construction shall be of the "S" type
design or, in lieu thereof, approved circuit breakers.

83-61. Section 300-24 added.

A new Section 300-24 is hereby added to the 1968 National
Electrical Code adopted by this Chapter to follow immediately after
Section 300-23 thereof, and to read as follows:
