Section 3. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

Bill No. 110-71

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Section 13-356 of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning
and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", Article V, "Signs
and Outdoor Advertisements Generally", and to enact new Section
13-356, in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed,
to change the setback and height requirements for advertising
signs not in conjunction with uses on the property where located;
and matters generally related thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland,
That Section 13-356 of the Anne Arundel County
Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and Zon-
ing", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", Article V, "Signs and Outdoor
Advertisements Generally" be, and it is hereby repealed and new
Section 13-356 be, and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in
the place of the Section repealed, to read as follows:

Section 13-356

Advertising signs not in conjunction with uses on the property
where located shall be set back not less than two hundred feet (2000
from the street or road right-of-way, or any public park, playground
or square within a Commercial or Industrial District (PROVIDED
THAT SUCH SIGNS SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED IN ANY
OTHER DISTRICTS). Such signs shall not exceed a height of
twenty-five feet (25') above grade, and shall not be located on, or
visible from, any existing or proposed dual lane highway. Permanent
non-residential signs shall be located not less than fifty feet (50')
from any residential property line, and shall be lighted only between
the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. (or until the hour of closing, whichever
is later), if:

(1)    the locations of such signs are contiguous to, or opposite
from, a residential district with occupied structures, and

(2)    said signs are visible from such structures.

Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.
