is to be measured from the front door or main entrance, whichever
is nearest the street abutting the premises, of the proposed licensed
establishment along the nearest usual pedestrian route to the door
closest to the licensed premises which is used as an entrance or exit
to any school, or to the main entrance of the church),
and the burden
of proof as to the above distance shall be with the applicant.

Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

Bill No. 86-71

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to designate new captions for
Sections 13-300.1, 13-301.1, 13-330 and 13-351.21E of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13,
"Planning and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", respec-
tively under Article I, "General Provisions and Definitions", Arti-
cle II, "Classes of Districts", Article IX, "Signs", Heading, "Signs
in Industrial Districts" and Article XI, "Special Exceptions",
Heading, "Specific Standards", Sub-heading, "Planned Unit De-
velopments", as added by Bills Nos. 2-70, 17-71 and 93-70, respec-
tively; to designate new heading captions for Sections 13-337
through 13-337.7, inclusive, and 13-338.2 through 13-338.13, in-
clusive, respectively, of said Code, Title and Subtitle, Article X,
"Administration and Procedures", as added by Bill No. 134-70;
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 13-301 (2) (a)
and (d), (3) and (4) (c) and (d) of the Anne Arundel County
Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and
Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", Article II, "Classes of
Districts", to re-classify and/or re-designate the commercial,
industrial and maritime group districts, and the TC—Town Center
Zone; to repeal Section 13-300.2 (65) of said Code, Title and Sub-
title, Article I, "General Provisions and Definitions", as added by
Bill No. 8-71, to eliminate the definition of "open spaces"; to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Section 13-321.6 of said Code,
Title and Subtitle, Article VI, "Special Districts", Heading, "TC—
Town Center Zones", as added by Bill No. 38-70, to define the term
"open space"; to repeal Section 13-303.1 (a) (3) of said Code, Title
and Subtitle, Article III, "Residential Districts", Heading, "Gen-
eral Provisions", Sub-heading, "RA—Agricultural Residential Dis-
tricts", as added by Bill No. 18-70, to eliminate child care homes
(less than six (6) children) as a permitted use in RA—Agricul-
tural Residential Districts; to enact new Section 13-303.1 (a)
(13A), to follow immediately after Section 13-303.1 (a) (13) of
said Code, Title, Subtitle, Article, Heading and Sub-heading, as
added by Bill No. 18-70, thereof, authorizing home occupations as
a permitted use in RA—Agricultural Residential Districts; to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 13-303.1 (b) (2),
13-304.4 (b), 13-307.6 (d) (1) (ii), 13-308.1, 13-310.1, 13-310.2,
13-311.2, 13-312.2, 13-313.1, 13-314.2, 13-319.2, 13-322.1, 13-327 (f)
