than typographical corrections may be made to the language or sub-
stance thereof).

Section 7. And be it further enacted, That if any provisions of
this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circum-
stance is held invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect
the other provisions or any other application of this Ordinance which
can be given effect without the invalid provisions or application, and
to this end, all the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared
to be severable.

Section 8. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance
shall become effective only after the entire Subtitle and Zoning Maps
are adopted and become effective and Chapter 35 of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title "Zoning", Arti-
cles I through V, inclusive, respectively titled, "In General", "Dis-
tricts", "Board of Appeals", "Off-Street Parking and Loading Spaces
Generally", and "Signs and Outdoor Advertisements Generally", and
Article VI of said Chapter (as enacted by Bill No. 4-65), are repealed.

SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT FORTY-FIVE (45) DAYS
FROM THE DATE IT BECOMES LAW, ONLY TO THE EXTENT
THAT THE PROVISIONS THEREOF TAKE EFFECT IN EACH
TAX ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, ON A DISTRICT BY DISTRICT
BASIS, WHEN THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING MAPS ARE
ADOPTED AND BECOME EFFECTIVE IN EACH OF SAID TAX
ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
13-351.2 (a) (3) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition
and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and Zoning", Subtitle 3,
"Zoning Regulations", Article III, "Board of Appeals", Division
2, "Powers", to clarify the minimum standards for measuring the
distance of taverns from a church or school.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland,
That Section 13-351.2 (a) (3) of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning
and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", Article III, "Board of
Appeals", Division 2, "Powers" be, and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Section 13-351.2 (a).

(3) Where the proposed location is shown to be no closer than
one thousand feet (1,000') [in a straight line] from entry to entry
from a [to any] church or school (the said one thousand feet (1,000')
