reference to the pursuit of the trades of Master Electrician and
Restricted Electrician by unlicensed persons] and shall advise the
director of the findings and recommendations.
Section 12-812.
(a) Any persons desiring to secure a license as a master
general, master limited, or restricted electrician shall submit to the
director on forms provided by the director his application for per-
mission to take the required written examination for the license of
his choice, together with an application fee of five dollars ($5.00).
All information necessary to complete such application shall be
furnished by the applicant in writing and under oath to the best of
his knowledge, information and belief at least [forty-five] thirty (30)
days prior to the examination.
(b) Applicants for [either class of] Master General, Master
Limited or Restricted license shall be at least twenty-one (21) years
of age.
(c) An applicant seeking permission to take the written ex-
amination for the license of Master General Electrician shall either:
(1) Have been continuously engaged during the three years
immediately preceding the date of his application as an apprentice,
journeyman or helper under the direction and supervision of a master
electrician.
(2) Have successfully completed at a trade school or other
educational institution a formal course of study of and training in
electrical installations which, in the opinion of the Board, should have
provided him with the knowledge and skill required of a master
electrician.
Section 12-814.
Four (4) times each year, during the months of January, April,
July and October, the Board of Electrical Examiners shall conduct
written examinations of eligible applicants for the licenses of Master
Electrician GENERAL, MASTER LIMITED and Restricted Electri-
cian. Written notice of the date, hour and place of examination shall
be mailed to each eligible applicant at least [fourteen] ten (10)
days prior to the date of the examination.
Section 12-815.
Any person who shall be denied permission to take the written
examination for [either] any class of license, or who shall be
given a failing grade on his written examination, may appeal from
either action of the Director to the County Board of Appeals as
provided in Section 602 (b) of the Charter.
Section 12-816.
Persons who have failed written examinations for [either] any
class of license, and who have not appealed to the County Board of
