Bill No. 57-71

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Section 206 (h) of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Admin-
istration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service",
eliminating the option of crediting sick leave with certain absences
due to a death in the immediate family.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne
Arundel County, Maryland,
That Section 206 (h) of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Ad-
ministration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified Serv-
ice", be and it is hereby repealed.

Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

APPROVED AND ENACTED: August 6, 1971.

Bill No. 58-71

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1-204 (f) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel",
Article II, "Classified Service", eliminating the requirement for
uniformed officers of the County police and fire departments to
take annual leave during the calendar year earned.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne
Arundel County, Maryland,
That Section 1-204 (f) of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified
Service", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

Section 1-204.

(f) [Uniformed officers of the county police and fire depart-
ments must take leave during the calendar year earned. Other
classified] Classified employees shall not be allowed to accumulate
more than five work days of unused annual leave in any calendar
year, nor carry over more than thirty (30) work days of annual
leave into any given calendar year.

Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

APPROVED AND ENACTED: August 6, 1971.
