2380                            County Local Laws

(e) All disturbed areas of each such excavation shall be seeded
or sodded as soon as the weather permits.

(3) (a) Excavations OTHER THAN PROVIDED FOR IN
SUBSECTION (2) OF THIS SECTION, AND which:

(i) are less than four feet (4') in vertical depth at its deepest
point as measured from the natural ground surface; and

(ii) do not result in a total deposit of more than fifty (50)
cubic yards of material on any lot, parcel or subdivision thereof; and

(iii) do not impair existing surface drainage, constitute a
potential erosion hazard, or act as a source of sedimentation to any
adjacent land or watercourse; and

(iv) have no final slopes more STEEP than one foot (1') ver-
tical in three feet (3') horizontal TO ONE FOOT (1') VERTICAL;
and

(b) All disturbed areas of each such excavation shall be seeded
or sodded as soon as weather permits.

(4) (a) A fill which:

(i) is less than four feet (4') in vertical height at its deepest
point as measured from the natural ground surface; and

(ii) is placed on a surface having a slope not more than five feet
(5') horizontal to one foot (1') vertical; and

(iii) does not exceed a total of fifty (50) cubic yards of mate-
rial on any lot, parcel or subdivision thereof; and

(iv) does not impair existing surface drainage, constitute a
potential erosion hazard or act as a source of sedimentation to any
adjacent land or watercourse; and

(v) has no final slopes more STEEP than one foot (1') vertical
in
three feet (3') horizontal TO ONE FOOT (1') VERTICAL; and
further provided that

(b) All disturbed areas of each such excavation shall be seeded
or sodded as soon as the weather permits.

(5)    Accepted agricultural land management practices, includ-
ing (but not limited to) plowing, nursery operations; the removal
and/or transplanting of cultivated soil, shrubs, and trees; THE
INSTALLATION OF CULTIVATED SOD; and tree cutting at or
above existing ground, provided WHICH LEAVES the stump, ground
cover and root mat remain intact.

(6)    The stockpiling of raw or processed sand, stone and gravel
(with slopes at a natural angle or OF repose) at quarries, concrete,
ASPHALT AND MATERIAL PROCESSING PLANTS AND
STORAGE YARDS provided grading and sediment control measures
have been utilized to protect against off-site damages, in accordance
with the provisions of this Subtitle.
