Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 20
(Senate Bill 129)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 20 of
Article 43C of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1971 Replacement
Volume), title "Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities
Authority," to change the time when the Maryland Health and
Higher Educational Facilities Authority reports to the Governor of
its activities and to change the time period covered in the report.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 20 of Article 43C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume), title "Maryland Health and Higher
Educational Facilities Authority," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

20.

Within the first ninety days of each [calendar] fiscal year, the
Authority shall make a report to the Governor of its activities for
the preceding [calendar] fiscal year. Each such report shall set
forth the complete operating and financial statement covering its
operations during such year. The Authority shall cause an audit of
its books and accounts to be made at least once each year by certified
public accountants, and the cost thereof shall be paid by the Au-
thority from funds available to it pursuant to this article.
