2114                                Municipal Charters

A Proposed Charter Amendment
Entitled

A Resolution and Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments Section 37 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Wicomico County (1965 Edition), title "Delmar," sub-title "Section
37. Voters; qualifications" relating to the age of voters, the duties
of the Registrars and the salary of the Commissioners.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED by the Commis-
sioners of Delmar, by virtue of the authority granted in Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland that Section 37 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition), as amended on
August 12, 1968, title "Delmar," sub-title "Voters; qualifications," be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, as follows:

37. Voters; qualifications.

All persons [twenty-one] EIGHTEEN years of age and over, and all
persons who have attained the age of [twenty-one] EIGHTEEN years
by the second Tuesday in April following their registration, and who shall
have been living within the limits of said town for a period of twelve
months prior to the second Tuesday in April, shall be entitled to register
as qualified voters of Delmar and shall on the second Tuesday in April,
[1969] 1973, elect three persons to be Commissioners of said town, and
on the same day every two years thereafter elect by ballot or by voting
machine three persons as Commissioners, and said Commissioners shall
be entitled to receive the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) each
per year for their services.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDAINED

by the Commissioners of Delmar that this charter amendment shall take
effect fifty (50) days from the date of the passage thereof.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED by the Commis-
sioners of Delmar, by virtue of the authority granted in Article 11-E of the
Constitution of Maryland that Section 39 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition), as amended on
August 12, 1986, title "Delmar," sub-title "Judges of Election," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, as follows:
