2104                               Municipal Charters

and shall have had his actual [residence] domicile in the City of College
Park, in the sense that he had no other home elsewhere, for the period
of one (1) year next preceding the day of application to register and shall
satisfy the Registering Officer of these facts. Any applicant to register
who shall be registered as a voter elsewhere in the State of Maryland shall
not be permitted to register unless there is filed with the Registration
Officer of said city the applicant's affidavit under oath that the applicant
has abandoned any prior place of residence.

Charter Amendment 71-1
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland

A Resolution and Ordinance to Amend Section 17-15(e), Section
17-15(h), and Section 17-15(i), of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County, Maryland (1963 Edition), titled, "Cottage
City," and subtitled, "Elections," and subheaded, "Registration," sub-
headed, "Voters: qualifications," and subheaded, "Voters' registra-
tion," being a part of the Charter of Cottage City, Maryland, and
changing the voting age of all Town of Cottage City citizens from
21 years to 18 years for the Town Election on May 3, 1971, and each
year thereafter.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
Section 17-15(e) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County, Maryland (1963 Edition), titled, "Cottage City," and subtitled,
"Elections," and subheaded "Registration," being a part of the Charter
of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:

17-15. Elections.

(e) Registration. Said Board shall, on the first Monday in April, if
not a legal holiday, and if a legal holiday then on the day following,
conduct a registration of the qualified voters of said town. For the regis-
tration of the 1971 year, a special provision shall permit the registration
of all Town citizens who shall have obtained the age of 18 years of age
on or before May 3, 1971.

Section 2. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
Section 17-15(h) of the Code of Public Laws of Prince George's County,
Maryland (1963 Edition), titled "Cottage City," and subtitled "Elections,"
and subheaded "Voters; qualifications," being a part of the Charter of the
Town of Cottage City, Maryland, be, and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:

17-15. Elections.

(h) Voters; qualifications. All citizens of the United States who have
attained the age of [twenty-one] eighteen and who have been bona fide
