College Park                                    2095

Chase, Maryland, more particularly described as Lot 5D, Parcel B, Block 5,
EW Heights, Sub-division of Norwood Heights, Montgomery County, Mary-
land, Plat Book 36 at page 2467. In this regard the following resolution
was passed by the Town Council on January 13, 1971:

' "Whereas a notice has been published in the Bethesda Chevy Chase
Tribune on December 18 and 25, 1970, and on January 1 and 8, 1971, that
the Town Council would have a public hearing on January 13, 1971 at
7104 Meadow Lane, Chevy Chase, Maryland, concerning the proposed an-
nexation of Lot 5D, Parcel B, Block 5, EW Heights, Sub-division of Nor-
wood Heights, Montgomery County, Maryland, Plat Book 36 at page 2467,
also known as 4309 Thornapple Street, Chevy Chase, Maryland, by the
Town of Chevy Chase, Section Four; and

"Whereas no opposition has been voiced to the above-described an-
nexation at this public hearing and,

"Whereas it is deemed by the Town Council to be in the best interests
of the Town to annex the above-described property,

"Resolved, that the Town Council approves the annexation of the
above property by the Town of Chevy Chase, Section Four, and that the
Town Manager is instructed to notify the owner thereof as well as the
appropriate County and State officials of said annexation, as required by
the laws of the State of Maryland."

This notice is provided you as required by Article 23A, Annotated
Code of Maryland, Section 19 (n).

COLLEGE PARK

Resolution No. 70 R 25

A Resolution of the City of College Park adopted pursuant to the
authority of Article 23A titled Corporations—Municipal sub-titled Sec-
tion 19, Annexation of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
as amended) to amend the Charter of the City of College Park, said
Charter being Article III titled Boundaries, Section 3., sub-titled Cor-
porate Limits and Boundaries, by adding thereto Section 5 entitled
Provisions and Section 5A entitled Annexation Description describing
the certain area to be annexed to the said City of College Park and the
conditions of said annexation.

THEREFORE: Be it enacted by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of College Park that Article III, Section 3 of the Charter of the City
of College Park titled Boundaries, sub-titled Corporate Limits and Boun-
daries is amended by the addition of Section 5 entitled Provisions and
Section 5A entitled Annexation Description, and that said Section 5 and
Section 5A shall read as follows:

Section 5. Provisions

That the corporate boundaries of the City of College Park be enlarged
to include the hereinafter described tracts of ground and the persons re-
siding in the area and their property shall and they are hereby added to
the corporate boundaries of the City of College Park. The area annexed and
