national freight into and out of the Port of Baltimore in twenty (20)
foot semi-trailers or containers. Such combinations of vehicles shall
be subject, however, to the maximum weight limits set forth in
Section 14-108 and also the maximum gross weight limits set forth
in subsection (b) of this section.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 456
(Senate Bill 765)

AN ACT to add a new Section 181E (1) to Article 41 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supple-
ment
), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative Depart-
ments," subtitle "Maryland Historical Trust," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 181E (k) thereof, amending the laws concern-
ing the powers and duties of the trustees of the Maryland His-
torical Trust to permit them with the approval of the Board of
Public Works to enter into a certain lease or other agreement for
the administrative control and direction of the area in the City
of Annapolis known generally as Paca Gardens and relating gen-
erally to the details and the procedures for such a lease or other
agreement.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 181E (1) be and it is hereby added to Article 41
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1971 Supplement), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative
Departments," subtitle "Maryland Historical Trust," to follow imme-
diately after Section 181E (k) thereof, and to read as follows:

181E.

(l)  (1) With the approval of the Board of Public Works, to enter
into a, lease or other agreement with the organization known gen-
erally as Historic Annapolis, Inc., whereby the Maryland Historical

Trust would have generally the control and administration of the

plot of land known generally as Paca Gardens. HISTORIC ANNAP-
OLIS, INC. IS THE MANAGING AGENCY OF THE PLOT OF
LAND GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE PACA GARDENS, AN-
NAPOLIS, MARYLAND, SUBJECT TO MINIMUM STANDARDS
AS ESTABLISHED IN THE AGREEMENT. THE RESPONSI-
BILITIES OF HISTORIC ANNAPOLIS, INC. MAY INCLUDE
CONSTRUCTION OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND THE
DAILY ADMINISTRATION OF THE AREA.

(2)  Paca Gardens is the garden and open area in the rear of
and adjacent to the property known generally as Paca House, be-
tween Prince George Street and King George Street in the City of
Annapolis. Paca House is the property referred to in Section 14A
