and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

To promote efficiency and as a reward for continuous service, the
Governor shall have the power, under regulations to be prescribed by
him, to issue service medals of appropriate designs to officers and
enlisted men of the organized militia of the State, who shall complete
[ten] five or more years of continuous service. Appropriate ribbon
badges may be issued by the State to represent any medal issued or
authorized and the wearing of such badge as a part of the uniform is
authorized.
Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 252(e)
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 1971 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Gaming,"
to provide for the issuance of temporary and one-day bingo licenses
in Baltimore County, for imposition of a license fee, and for
how the license fee shall be determined.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 252(e) of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subtitle "Gaming," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
252.
(e) Temporary and one-day bingo license.
(1) Temporary bingo license. A temporary license for the opera-
tion of the game of bingo known as a "temporary bingo license,"
shall authorize the holder thereof to operate the game of bingo at a
fixed location to be specified therein for not more than ten days in
any one year. The applicant therefor shall pay a license fee to be
determined by [the department of permits and licenses] Baltimore

(2) One-day bingo license. A one-day license for the operation
of the game of bingo known as a "one-day bingo license," shall
