CHAPTER 231
(Senate Bill 286)

AN ACT to add new Section 21 (b) (7) to Article 101 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement), as amended by Chap-
ter 741 of the 1970 Laws of Maryland, title "Workmen's Com-
pensation," subtitle "Application of Article; Extra-Hazardous
Employment," to follow immediately after Section 21 (b) (6)
thereof, to provide coverage to apprentices, trainees, or re-trainees
injured off the job OUTSIDE OF REGULAR WORKING HOURS
under certain conditions.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 21 (b) (7) be and it is hereby added to Article 101
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement), as amended
by Chapter 741 of the 1970 Laws of Maryland, title "Workmen's
Compensation," subtitle "Application of Article; Extra-Hazardous
Employment," to follow immediately after Section 21 (b) (6) there-
of, and to read as follows:

(b) (7) Any person who is an apprentice, trainee, or re-trainee,
who is regularly employed
, while receiving training or instruction
outside of regular working hours and off the job
, so long as the
training or instruction is related to his employment.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not apply
to cases arising prior to July 1, 1971.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 232
(Senate Bill 293)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 151 (d)
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses," subtitle "Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax," to re-

move a restriction on the refund of taxes on motor vehicle fuel

and to increase the allocation from motor vehicle fuel tax revenues
to the Waterways Improvement Fund.
TO PROVIDE FOR THE
ALLOCATION OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL TAX
REVENUES TO THE FISH AND WILDLIFE ADMINISTRA-
TION FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME ONLY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 151 (d) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Motor Vehicle
Fuel Tax," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
