catching, killing or possession of deer, the penalties for which shall
be the penalties set forth in Section 196 or to wild waterfowl, the
penalties for which shall be those set forth in Section 152 or to pur-
chasing, selling or offering to purchase or sell deer.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 176
(House Bill 885)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 270(g)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Fish and
Fisheries," subheading "Part 2. Tidal Waters," to define the area
in which certain methods of fishing are prohibited.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 270 (g) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Fish and Fisheries," subheading "Part 2. Tidal Waters," be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
270.
(g) It shall be unlawful to fish with nets or seines of any kind in
the waters of Middle River and of the tributaries thereof, being
those waters northeast of a line drawn from the point on Bowley
Point southwesterly to the navigation light at the western end of
Sue Island, between the 1st day of March and the 1st day of June,
both dates inclusive, in each and every year; and it shall be unlawful
at any time to use pound nets or other similar devices in the waters
of Back River and its tributaries.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

Maryland, (being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland) published under the direction of the Board of County

publication, sale and distribution of this Code.
