Sale," providing for new hours in which alcoholic beverages may-
be sold in Worcester County on Sundays by certain organizations
and establishments.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 106 (d) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours
and Days for Sale," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

106.

(d) On Sundays, during the hours of [1:00] 12:00 o'clock [p.m.]
noon
12:30 P.M. and [9:00] 10:00 o'clock p.m., prevailing time, bona
fide hotels and restaurants holding a seven (7) day Class B beer, wine
and liquor license under Section 19(m) of this article shall be per-
mitted to serve alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises
only as a supplement to meals and only when seated at a table (and
not from a bar or bar stools), or to conventions or such other groups
as may be approved by the board of license commissioners, in accord-
ance with the provisions of Section 25k and 25(k-1) of this article.
On Sundays, during the hours of [1:00] 12:00 o'clock [p.m.] noon
12:30 P.M. and [9:00] 10:00 o'clock p.m., prevailing time, bona fide
concessioners at the Ocean City Convention Hall holding a seven (7)
day Class B beer, wine and liquor license under Section 19(m-l) of
this article shall be permitted to sell, barter, deliver, give away or
otherwise dispose of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the
premises of the Convention Hall if so authorized by the Ocean City
Convention Hall Commission. Also clubs under Section 20(m-1-a)

which qualify for a seven day license shall be permitted to serve

alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises only as a supple-

ment to a meal on Sundays during the hours of 12:00 o'clock noon

and 10:00 o'clock p.m., prevailing time.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 174
(House Bill 872)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, subsection (f)
of Section 5 of Article 38 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Supplement), title "Fines and Forfeitures," to delete obso-
lete language relating to partial support of the court library in
Worcester County by fines and costs of the trial magistrates court,
in light of the implementation of the district court system.
