land. The Board may employ such clerical, technical, or other assist-
ants as are necessary for the proper performance of its work and
may make expenditures of this fund for any purpose which in the
opinion of the Board is reasonably necessary for the proper per-
formance of its duties, under this article, including the expenses of
the Board's delegates to annual conventions of, and membership dues
to the National Council of State Boards of Engineering Examiners,
its successors or any of its subdivisions, or other similar profes-
sional organizations. Under no circumstances shall the total amount
of warrants issued by the State Comptroller in payment of the ex-
penses and compensation provided for in this article exceed the
amount of examination, registration and renewal fees collected as
herein provided.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 9 (71) of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement),
title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "What Shall Be Taxed and
Where," to correct erroneous language therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 9 (71) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "What
Shall Be Taxed and Where," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, and to read as follows:

(71) Real property owned by the Maryland Jaycees, Inc. (other-
wise known as Maryland State Junior Chamber of Commerce, Inc.)
which is used as the principal office of the organization shall be
exempt from county taxation in Queen Anne's County and real prop-
erty owned by the Maryland Jaycees, Inc., which is used in the oper-
ation of a charitable nonprofit educational or rehabilitation institu-
tion as exempted under [subsection] subsections (7) and (8) of this
section, shall be exempt from county taxation in Prince George's
County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.
