County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Circuit Court,"
subheading "Juvenile Court," as this section was last amended by
Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1967, be and it is hereby repealed, and
that a new Section 182 be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof,
to stand in the place of the section so repealed, and to read as
follows:

The Judges of the Circuit Court for Harford County may desig-
nate, appoint, and employ, a qualified person to be known as the
Master for Juvenile Causes of the Circuit Court for Harford County,
who shall be a member of the Bar of the State of Maryland, at such
salary as the Judges of the Circuit Court may order and approve,
to be paid by the County Commissioners of Harford County. The
duties of the Master for Juvenile Causes shall be prescribed in writ-
ing by the Judges of the Circuit Court for Harford County. Such
written instructions shall be available to the public in the Clerk's
Office and they shall extend to said Master only such powers in juve-
nile cases as are vested by law in the Judges of the Circuit Court.]

182.

The Judges of the Circuit Court for Harford County may desig-
nate, appoint, and employ a qualified person to be known as the
Special Master in Equity in the Circuit Court for Harford County.
He shall be a member of the Bar of the Court of Appeals of Mary-
land and shall receive from time to time a salary established and
approved by the Judges of the Circuit Court for Harford County,
to be paid by the Board of County Commissioners of Harford
County. He shall discharge the duties of the position hitherto known
as Master for Juvenile Causes of the Circuit Court for Harford
County and whatever other duties in equity may be assigned to him
by the Judges of the Circuit Court. His duties shall be as prescribed
in writing by the Judges of the Circuit Court for Harford County,
and in addition to the other matters specified herein, they shall
include all matters referred to the Court by the Director of Proba-
tion for Harford County. These written instructions shall be made
available to the public in the Clerk's office, and they may extend to
the Special Master in Equity only such powers in juvenile cases or
in equity as are appropriate and as may be vested by law in the
Judges of the Circuit Court.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.
