(d) In Allegany County, each member of the Board of Education
shall receive reimbursement in the amount of three hundred dollars
annually for traveling and other expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(House Bill 443)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 292 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County (1963 Edition)
being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Somerset County," subtitle "Revenue and Taxes," last
amended by Chapter 693 of the Acts of 1970; to provide that the
salary of the Deputy Treasurer in Somerset County be set by the
County Commissioners.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 292 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County
(1963 Edition), being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Somerset County," subtitle "Revenue and Taxes,"
last amended by Chapter 693 of the Acts of 1970, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

The Treasurer shall appoint a deputy, who shall perform such
duties as the said Treasurer may require, and for whose official con-
duct said Treasurer shall be responsible, and who shall act for said
Treasurer during the Treasurer's absence; the salary of the said
Deputy shall be [$5,400.00 annually and shall be paid on a monthly
basis], as provided by the County Commissioners in the annual
budget for Somerset County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.
