(Senate Bill 146)

AN ACT to add new Section 9 (72) to Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes,"
subtitle "What Shall be Taxed and Where," to follow immediately
after Section 9 (71) thereof, to provide for a property tax exemp-
tion in Allegany County for certain leased property used for
athletic and recreational purposes by the LaVale Athletic Asso-
ciation.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 9 (72) be and it is hereby added to Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement), title
"Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "What Shall be Taxed and Where,"
to follow immediately after Section 9 (71) thereof, and to read
as follows:

(72) For purposes of county taxation only, real property in Alle-
gany County owned by a religious organization, which property is
located in LaVale and is leased to the LaVale Athletic Association
for the purpose of conducting athletic and recreational programs
for youth, but only when this property is used solely and exclu-
sively for the above purpose.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(Senate Bill 157)

AN ACT to repeal Section 33 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement),
title "Insurance Code," subtitle "Insurance Division and Insurance
Commissioner" and to enact new Section 33 in lieu thereof, pro-
viding for payment of the expense incurred on account of examina-
tions of all CERTAIN persons made pursuant to the Maryland
Insurance Code and eliminating exemptions now provided for.
