(b) A principal, [or] teacher, or school security guard who in-
curs injury while thus intervening shall be compensated by the
county board of education or Baltimore City board of school com-
missioners, as the case may be, for necessary medical expenses re-
sulting directly from the intervention, and he shall not suffer any
loss of compensation for time lost from his school duties resulting
directly from the intervention, but such compensation shall be re-
duced by any payments made pursuant to the Workmen's Compen-
sation Law.
(c) In any suit or claim brought against the principal, for]
teacher, or school security guard because of the intervention, as
provided for in subsection (a) herein by a parent or other claimant
of one of the combatants, the county board of education or Balti-
more City board of school commissioners as the case may be, shall
provide legal counsel for the principal, [or] teacher, or school
security guard and shall save him harmless from any award or
decree against him.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 48
(Senate Bill 138)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 486G
(b) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Re-
placement Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "Premium
Finance Agreements," to provide that the Commissioner may im-
pose prescribed penalties, or require restitution in lieu of or in
addition to suspension, revocation or refusal to continue registra-
tion, and to eliminate reference to a fine.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 486G (b) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance Code," sub-
title "Premium Finance Agreements," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
486G.
(b) The Commissioner may in his discretion in lieu of or in addi-
tion to suspension, revocation or refusal to continue any registra-
tion, impose on the registrant an administrative penalty [of a fine]
of not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for the first and
second offenses, or require that restitution be made by any registrant
violating this subtitle to any person who has suffered financial injury
or damage as a result of such violation. RESTITUTION IS DE-
FINED FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION TO MEAN
THAT SUM OF MONEY WHICH, IF PAID TO A PERSON SUF-
FERING PECUNIARY DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF VIOLATION
OF THIS SECTION, WILL RESTORE THAT PERSON TO THE
