An Act to increase the court costs in the People's Court of Baltimore
County by repealing and re-enacting with amendments subsections
(a) and (b) of Section 7-51 of the Baltimore County Code, 1968
(1969 Cumulative Supplement) title "Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and
Imprisonment", Article II. "People's Court."

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That subsections (a) and (b) of
Section 7-51 of the Baltimore County Code, 1968 (1969 Cumulative Supple-
ment) title "Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprisonment", Article II.
"People's Court," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:

Section 7-51. Fees and costs—Generally.

(a) Subject to the provisions of section 7-52 of this Code, before any
of the following acts or services shall be performed in connection with any
action or proceeding in the people's court there shall be paid to the clerk
of the people's court for the use of the county the following fees and

costs:

For filing, trial costs and memorandum in action

ex-contractu and ex-delicto—one defendant.......................... $ 4.00

For amended statement of claim—one defendant....................        2.00

For each additional defendant in original suit........................        2.00

For each additional party to be served with amended

statement of claim....................................................................        2.00

For additional summons against defendant under

another name ............................................................................        2.00

For additional summons against defendant at another
