An Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1-209 (a) (3), (6), (10) and (11) of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle
2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service", revising the date of
observance of Washington's Birthday, redesignating "Decoration Day"
as "Memorial Day", and changing the date of observance thereof, and
changing the dates of observance of Columbus Day and Veterans' Day.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-209 (a) (3),
(6), (10) and (11) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition
and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel",
Article II, "Classified Service", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

Section 1-209

(a) (3) Washington's Birthday—3rd Monday in February [22]

(6) Memorial Day [Decoration Day—May 30]—Last Monday
in May

(10)   Columbus Day—2nd Monday in October [12]

(11)  Veterans' Day—4th Monday in November OCTOBER [11]

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

An Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
1-215 (e) (1) and (3) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Per-
sonnel", Article II, "Classified Service", as last amended by Bill No.
80-70, providing within the Classified Service the positions of Senior
Combination Inspector, Erosion Control Inspector and Engineering
Technician; and to enact new Sections 1-217 (a) (160), (161) and
(162) to said Code, Title, Subtitle and Article, setting forth the
qualifications for said positions, respectively, and matters generally
related thereto.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-215 (e) (1)
and (3) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements),
Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified
Service", as last amended by Bill No. 80-70, be, and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
