title 2, "Personnel", Article 1, "Exempt Service", be, and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Section 1-200.1 (a)

(a) Salaries—The following position classifications in the exempt
service are hereby established and shall be compensated at the salary grade
designated (which grades correspond to the annual pay schedule within the
classified service as set forth in Section 1-216 (a)):

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

An Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1-
212 (a) (2) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Arti-
cle II, "Classified Service", providing that certain sick leave shall be
charged at the rate of one-half (½) day for each regular workday
missed.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-212 (a) (2)
of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title
1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service",
be, and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Section 1-212

(a) (2) He may elect to use his earned sick leave credits during which
period he shall receive his regular salary provided any amount awarded
as temporary total disability payments under workmen's compensation
law is endorsed by the employee over to the county; provided further that
sick leave shall be charged at the rate of one-half (½) day for each
regular workday missed.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.
