street or highway where the buildings situated thereon bear odd street
numbers.

(3) In any block wherein parking is prohibited on one side of the
street for the entire block, such parking prohibition shall be suspended
during such periods as the other restrictions of this section are operative.

(b)    Any vehicle parked and left unattended in violation of the
provisions of this section or any order or declaration of the county ex-
ecutive issued pursuant to this section may be removed and impounded
as provided in Section 108-2 of this Code.

(c)    Any person violating any provision of this section or order or
declaration of the county executive issued pursuant to this section shall,
upon conviction thereof, be fined not more than twenty-five dollars.

Section 10. Section 108-5, Chapter 108, title "Vehicles, Traffic and
Parking", of the Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

108-5. Authority of county executive to regulate by signs. The county ex-
ecutive is hereby authorized to prohibit and otherwise regulate
parking of vehicles on County property by the erection of appro-
priate signs to effectuate the same.

Section 11. Section 108-7, Chapter 108, title "Vehicles, Traffic and
Parking," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

108-7. Duty of police as to illegally parked vehicles; notice to owner;
penalty.

Any police officer finding a vehicle parked in violation of this Article
shall attach to such vehicle a notice to the owner and operator thereof
that such vehicle has been parked in violation of this Article and instruct-
ing the owner and operator, or either of them, to report to the nearest
police substation within forty-eight hours of the time when such notice
was so attached to such vehicle, exclusive of Sundays, and to pay as a
penalty and in full satisfaction of such violation the sum of two dollars,
or as shall otherwise be fixed from time to time by the county executive
with the approval of the County Council.

Section 12. Section 108-16, Chapter 108 title "Vehicles, Traffic and
Parking," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

108-16. Duty of police—To report illegally parked vehicles; information
to be shown.

It shall be the duty of the police officers of the County, or any other
County employees specifically designated by the county executive or his
designee to police parking meters and to report:

(1)    The number of each parking meter which indicates that the
vehicle occupying the parking zone adjacent to such parking meter is
or has been parked in violation of any of the provisions of this article;

(2)    The state license number of such vehicle; and

(3)    Any other facts, a knowledge of which is necessary to a thorough
understanding of the circumstances attending such violation.
