22.210—Intention
The County Council of Howard County intends by this Act to imple-
ment the provisions of Section 901 of the Howard County Charter. The
following Section 22.211 is intended to implement and clarify the first
sentence of Section 901(c) "Penalties," which states "Any officer or em-
ployee of the County who wilfully violates any of the provisions of this
Section shall forfeit his office."
22.211—Enforcement
The Office of the State's Attorney of Howard County shall be charged
with the responsibility of enforcing the provisions of Section 901 (a) of
the Howard County Charter, and forfeiture of office shall be by order of
the Circuit Court for Howard County.
22.212—Forfeiture
Any elected or appointed official of Howard County ANY OFFICER
OR EMPLOYEE OF THE COUNTY who is convicted of violating any
of the Prohibitions set forth in Section 901 (a) of the Howard County
Charter, shall thereupon forfeit his office or position, or employment.
Section 2. And be it further enacted by the County Council of Howard
County, Maryland, That this Act shall take effect sixty (60) days after
its enactment.
This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and returned to the
Council, stands enacted on May 27, 1970.

An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 16.401(b)
and 16.401(c) of the Howard County Code, title "Planning, Zoning
and Sub-Division Control," subtitle "Mobile Home Parks," to provide
for temporary permits for existing mobile home parks and for exten-
sions thereof.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Howard County,
Maryland, that Sections 16.401(b) and 16.401(c) of the Howard County
Code, title "Planning, Zoning and Sub-Division Control" and subtitle
"Mobile Home Parks," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, to read as follows:
16.401—Licenses and Temporary Permits
(b) All such parks in existence on the effective date of this Act shall,
upon the termination of one (1) year, obtain such license and in all
respects comply fully with the requirements of this Section except that the
licensing authority [may] shall, upon written application of the park
operator, waive such requirements that require prohibitive reconstruction
costs if such waiver does not adversely affect the sanitation requirements
of the Board of Health or create or permit to continue any hazard to the
welfare and health of the community and the occupants of the park.
(c) The term of the temporary permit shall be extended, upon
