Road and running South 43 degrees 10 minutes West 418.44 feet to a
post, thence South 26 degrees 58 minutes West 379.5 feet to a post, thence
South 62 degrees 31 minutes East 254.24 feet to the West margin of said
Old Boonsboro Road, thence along same South 17 degrees 19 minutes West
736.55 feet to a point, thence leaving the Road and running North 74
degrees 53 minutes West 140.0 feet to a post thence South 15 degrees 07
minutes West 185.76 feet to the place of beginning containing 132.05 acres
of land more or less.

Whereas, the owners of more than twenty-five (25%) per cent of the
assessed valuation of the real property located in said area and more than
twenty-five (25%) per cent of the persons who reside in said area and who
are registered in county elections have consented to the proposal for the
enlargement of the corporate boundaries of the Mayor and Council of
Boonsboro as set forth in the title to this resolution, and

Whereas, the Mayor has caused to be made a verification of the signa-
tures on said written consents and has ascertained that the persons execut-
ing the same do represent the owners of more than twenty-five (25%)
per cent of the assessed valuation of the real property located in said
area proposed to be annexed and do represent more than twenty-five (25%)
per cent of the persons who reside in the area to be annexed who are
registered as voters in county elections.

Section 1. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council
of the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro that the corporate boundaries of
the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro be and the same are hereby enlarged
by adding or annexing thereto the area adjoining the present corporate
boundary of said Town as particularly described in the title to this Resolu-
tion.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the condi-
tions and circumstances applicable to the change in said corporate bound-
aries and to the residents and property within the area to be annexed, are
as follows:

That the persons residing in the area to be annexed and all property
located therein shall be generally subject to the provisions of the Charter
of the Town of Boonsboro, without special treatment as to the rates of
municipal taxation or as to municipal services and facilities.

Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the written
consents of property owners and resident voters, and a written verifica-
tion signed by the Mayor be and the same shall be filed with the records of
this meeting.

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Section 36 of the
Charter of the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro, title ''Corporate Limits,"
as said Charter appears in the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County of 1957 as amended be and the same is hereby further amended
by eliminating from said existing section as amended that part thereof
which is hereinafter enclosed in double parentheses, and by adding thereto
new matter which is hereinafter underscored, this amendment to the
Charter to be known as Amendment No. 6 being the sixth amendment
since the adoption of said Charter as it appears in the Code of Public Local
Laws of Washington County above mentioned, to-wit:
