Bel Air                                         2027

Gate Road from the northwest side of Bel Air Road (U.S. Route No. 1),
60 feet wide, running thence binding on said center line of Toll Gate Road,
and referring the courses of this description to the Grid Meridian of the
"Maryland Coordinate System" two courses: (1) N 78° 32' 10" W—229.95
feet, and (2) N 89° 51' 30" W—225.58 feet to the beginning of the
twenty-sixth line of the above mentioned Annexed Area No. 15, thence
binding on the outlines of said Annexed Area No. 15, six courses: (3)
N 20° 42' 50" E—457.20 feet, (4) S 71° 26' 00" E—225.98 feet to a
¾ inch pipe, (5) S 55° 46' 40" E—109.20 feet to a stone, (6) S 55° 46' 40"
E—174.49 feet to a ¾ inch pipe, (7) S 33° 21' 25" W—275.20 feet to a
pipe, and (8) S 33° 21' 25" W—15.00 feet to the place of beginning.

Containing 4.0537 acres of land.

Whereas, on June 11, 1969, there was formally presented to the Com-
missioners of Bel Air a written petition signed by the owner of 25% or
more of the assessed valuation of the real property located in the area
described in the title to this resolution, and by 25% or more of the persons
who reside in the area and who are registered as voters in Harford County
elections in the precinct in which the described area is located, requesting
that the corporate boundaries of the Town of Bel Air be enlarged by
annexing thereto the area so described; and

Whereas, the Chairman of the Commissioners of Bel Air has caused
to be made a verification of the signatures on said petition, and has ascer-
tained that the persons signing the petition represent at least 25% of the
persons who reside in the area requested to be annexed and who are regis-
tered as voters in Harford County elections in the precinct in which the
territory so requested to be annexed is located, and that the assessment
records of Harford County show that the signer of the petition is the
owner of at least 25% of the assessed valuation of the real property located
in the area so requested to be annexed, all of which will appear by refer-
ence to the certificate of verification dated August 20, 1969, being sub-
scribed by the Chairman of the Commissioners of Bel Air and Town
Counsel.

Section 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commis-
sioners of Bel Air that the corporate boundaries of the Town of Bel Air
be and the same are hereby enlarged by adding or annexing thereto the
area contiguous to and adjoining the present Southerly boundaries of
the Town of Bel Air, as particularly described in the aforesaid petition and
also in the title to this resolution.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the conditions
and circumstances applicable to the change in said corporate boundaries
and to the residents of property in the area so annexed are as follows:

(a) That the persons residing in the area to be annexed and the
owners of all property therein shall be generally subject to the provisions
of the Charter of the Town of Bel Air, without special treatment as to
rates of the municipal tax, or as to municipal services and facilities,
except that they shall not be subject to real estate taxes levied for the year
July 1, 1969 to June 30, 1970, by the Town of Bel Air, paying in lieu
thereof such charges as the Commissioners of Bel Air may fix for that
year for services furnished to them by the Town of Bel Air. The exception
to the levy for real estate taxes for the year 1969-70 shall not include any
semi-annual assessment that may become due and payable.
