heading "Injuries—Reports of," to follow immediately after Section
336 thereof, and to read as follows:

336A.

Whenever any physician, pharmacist, dentist, hospital or nurse
treats any person for an injury which was caused by or shows evi-
dence of having been
OBVIOUSLY CAUSED BY OR SHOWS EVI-
DENCE OF HAVING BEEN caused by any type of gunshot, he or
she, or in the case of a hospital, the individual then in charge there-
of, shall, as soon as practicable, notify either the sheriff of the
county, the county police,
THE BALTIMORE CITY POLICE, or the
State Police of such fact, giving such person's name and address, if
known, a description of the injury, and any other facts concerning
the affair which might assist in the detection of crime. Any such
person failing so to report shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
punishable in any court of competent criminal jurisdiction by a fine
not exceeding twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 466
(Senate Bill 550)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 50K (a)
of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Public Service Commission Law," subtitle
"Public Service Companies," subheading "Carrier Companies,"
and to add new Section 88 (f) to Article 78 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public Service
Commission Law," subtitle "Procedure before Commission," to
follow immediately after Section 88 (e) thereof, to increase the
salary for the position of Taxicab License Hearing Officer; and to
establish fees for the issuance of taxicab driver licenses.; ALL
UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 50K (a) of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public Service Commission
Law," subtitle "Public Service Companies," subheading "Carrier
Companies," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments; and that new Section 88 (f) be and it is hereby added to
Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement
Volume), title "Public Service Commission Law," subtitle "Procedure
before Commission," to follow immediately after Section 88 (e)
thereof, and all to read as follows:

50K.

(a) Position created; appointment; salary.—There shall be created
a position of taxicab license hearing officer who shall be an attorney
