(Senate Bill 529)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 236 (c-1)
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "State Depart-
ment of Assessments and Taxation" to revise the provisions for
salaries of Supervisors of Assessments.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 236 (c-1) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle
"State Department of Assessments and Taxation," be and it is hereby
repealed and amended, with amendments, to read as follows:

(c-1) On and after July 1, 1967, the classifications and pay scales
of the several supervisors of assessments shall be in the same relative
position in the standard salary scales then in effect as in the standard
salary scales in effect on January 1, 1967; provided that the compen-
sation in each respective classification from and after July 1, 1967,
shall be at least ten per centum (10%) greater than immediately
prior thereto. Notwithstanding the provisions of this subsection the
salary applicable to the supervisor of assessments for Anne Arundel
County shall be salary scale 13 and the salary applicable to the super-
visor of assessments in Allegany, Frederick, Harford, Howard and
Washington counties shall be salary scale 12. In no event shall the
salary for a supervisor of assessments be less than the salary appli-
cable for senior assessors in any jurisdiction.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 465
(Senate Bill 536)
AN ACT to add new Section 336A to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading
"Injuries—Reports of," to follow immediately after Section 336
thereof, to require any physician, pharmacist, dentist, hospital or
nurse to report to the local or State Police any apparent OBVIOUS
APPARENT gunshot wounds treated by them, and providing a
penalty for noncompliance.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 336A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title
"Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," sub-
