661. On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t Received the Day and Year of the within written Indenture the within mentioned Sum of ten Shillings from the Within named Benjamin Prather and Lucy his Wife being the Consideration Money within ment.d to be paid by them to me Test William Paca Tho.s Jenings Be it remembered that the within named Thomas Jenings Benjamin Prather and Lucy his Wife came before Me John Hepburn Esq one of the Right honourable the Lord proprietary's provincial magistrates for the province of Maryland and acknowledged the Within Deed to be their Act and the Lands and premisses with the Appurtenances therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the said Benjamin Prather his Heirs and Assigns for ever and likewise did severally acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Acts and Deed to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes therein mentioned And the said Lucy Wife to the said Benjamin Prather and being by me examined privately out of the Hearing of her Husband declared that She made the above Acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Force or Threats of ill Usage by her Husband or Fear of his Displeasure Taken and certified According to Act of Assembly by me this first Day of August in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty five before 7 1/2 sides J Hepburn Recorded 27.th Day of September 1765 Ex.d This Indenture made this twenty eighth Day of September in the Year Seventeen hundred and Sixty five Between Joseph Ensor of Baltimore County Planter of the one Part and Luke Ravin of the same Place Planter of the other part Whereas for the Docking barring and extinguishing all Estates Tail and Reversions or Remainders thereupon expectant or depending of and in the Lands and Appurtenances herein after mentioned the said Joseph Ensor or Demandant did heretofore at the request of the aforesaid Luke Raven prosecute and sue forth out of his Lordships High Court of Chancery his said Lordships Writ of Entry Sur Disseisin en le Post against the said Luke Raven returnable and returned to the Provincial Court at Annapolis on the second Tuesday of September instant Whereby the sid Joseph Ensor did Demand against the said Luke Raven all these Several Tracts or parcells of Land lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid following that is to say a Tract of Land called Triangle containing one hundred Acres Luke's Adventure containing three hundred and Seventeen Acres and Raven's Outlett containing one hundred and twenty five Acres with the Appurtenances To which said Writ the said Luke Raven did Appear by his Attorney and vouched to warranty thereof the Common Vouchee of the same Court and such further and other (Proceedings) |
