659. Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents that I Sarah Cawood of Charles County in Maryland Widow of William Cawood late of the same County deceased for & in consideration of five Shillings Current Money to me in hand paid by Stephen Cawood of the same County Planter Have remised released and for ever Quit Claimed and by these presents Do remise release and for Ever Quit Claim to him the said Stephen Cawood his heirs and Assigns all that parcell or part of a tract of Land called Hull lying & being in the County aforesaid and heretofore on or about the Ninth day of September Seventeen hundred and thirty five devised by Stephen Cawood deceased to the aforesaid William Cawood the Father of the said Stephen Cawood And also all my right title Property Claim and demand and Dower and right and title of Dower of in and to the same parcell or part of a tract of land called Hull and every part and parcell thereof & premisses with the appurtenances To Have and To Hold the same parcell or part of a tract of Land and every part & parcell thereof and premisses with the Appurtenances to him the said Stephen Cawood his Heirs & Assigns to the only proper use & behoof of him the said Stephen Cawood his Heirs and Assigns for Ever In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Affixed my seal the Sixteenth day of September Seventeen hundred & sixty five Signed Sealed & Delivered her in the presence of us Sarah S Cawood Seal Francis King mark Luke Marbury on the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written viz Received on the Day & year last Within Written of & from the Within named Stephen Cawood the sum of five shillings Current Money being the Consideration money within mentioned to be paid to me Witness I say received by me her Francis King Sarah S Cawood Luke Marbury mark 3 sides recorded 26.th Sept.r 1765 Ex.d This Indenture made the first Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five Between Benjamin Prather and Lucy his Wife of Frederick County which said Lucy is the Daughter and Heir of John Rogers deceased of the one part and Thomas Jenings Attorney at Law of the other Part Whereas for the docking bearing and extinguishing all Estates tail and Reversions or Remainders thereupon expectant or depending of and in the Land and Appurtenances herein after mentioned the said Thomas Jenings as Demandant is hereafter at the Request Costs and Charges of the said Benjamin Prather and Lucy his Wife to prosecute and sue out of his Lordships high Court of Chancery his said Lordships Writ of Entry sur Disseisin en le post against them the (said) |
