(Sixth Page) about the Premisses And Further in Case of the Decease of the said Robert Chalmers before the Affairs and Business hereby Committed to him shall be finally Concluded And we Considering that he has taken alongst with him George Chalmers Son of James Chalmers Postmaster in Fockabin & Nephew to the said Robert Chalmers to be a Companion We hereby in that event Constitue & appoint the said George Chalmers to Succeed the said Robert Chalmers as our Attorney in the Premisses Giving & Granting to him full Power and Commission to Act and Do for us as the said Robert Chalmers may or can do by Virtue hereof and that Immediately after or how soon the said Robert Chalmers death happens he being alwise liable to account to us for all his Intromissions in manner foresaid In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals In Glasgow Nort Brittain the Twenty third Day of the Month of April in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and sixty three and of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of Good King of Great Britain France and Ireland &c the third Year Eliz Booge s Wrote on Stamped Paper and Signed Barbara Booge s Seald and Delivered In Presence of Jas Robertson s Jas Sword s William Carmichael John Thompson and John Neill By the Right Honourable Archbald Ingram Provos of the City of Glasgow These do Certify that on the day of this date the Letter and Power of Attorney wrote on this and the five preceeding Papers was signd sealled and Execute by the within designed Barbara Booge Elizabeth Booge James Sword and James Robertson In presence of me the said Archbald Ingram Before and In presence of William Carmichael of Queen Ann's County in Chester River Maryland John Thompson Shipmaster in Greenock and John Neill Mariner in Greenock who thereon indorsed their Names In Testimony whereof I have subscribed these presents and Caused the Common Seall of the said City to be hereto Affixed at Glasgow the Twenty third day of April One thousand seven hundred and sixty three Years s Arch Ingrams Upper Marlbro August 24.th 1763 Then came John Thomson one of the Witnesses to the within Power of Attorney before me the subscribers one of his |
