427 Affixed their Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered Cornelius Howard seal in the Presence of R Howard seal James Tilghman 3.d J Hall seal Reverdy Ghiselin On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t Received on the day and Year first within Written of and from the within named Cornelius Howard the sum of five shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him Paid me Witness J Hall James Tilghman 3.d On the seventh day of August Seventeen hundred and sixty four came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named John Hall and Cornelius Howard and Ruth his Wife and severally Acknowledged the within Deed to be their respective Act and Deed to and for the uses intents and Purposes within mentioned and the Lands and Premises therein mentioned and every Part and Parcell thereof to be the Right and Estate of the said Cornelius Howard his Heirs and Assigns forever According to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the said Ruth the Wife of the said ^af.d^ Cornelius Howard examined Privately apart and out of the hearing of the said Cornelius Howard her Husband declared that She made the above Acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears or threats of or ill Usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure John Darnall 10 sd Recorded the 25.th of September 1764 |
