                On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t

       Be it Remembered that on the tenth day of July in the Year of our Lord
       Seventeen hundred and Sixty four Personally Appeared before Me one of the Lord
       Proprys Justices of the Provincial Court Hopewell Keene and Sarah his Wife
       the Grantors within mentioned and did Acknowledge the within Writing to be their Act and
       Deed & the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within
       James Smith his Heirs and Assigns forever the said Sarah being Privately examined out
       of the hearing of her said Husband declared She made the same Acknowledgment Willingly
       and freely without being induced thereto by fears or threats of or ill usage by her said
       Husband or ^for^ fear of his Displeasure

          Received this 10.th day of July Anno Domini Seventeen hundred Sixty four Twenty
       five pounds Sterling Money the full Consideration within mentioned

       eleven Pence one half Penny Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation
