       on the Back Side of the aforegoing Power of ^Attorney^ was thus
       indorsed Viz.t

       Maryland fs.t
                            On the 18.th Day of November came the within
       named Joseph Haskins one of the subscribing Witnesses to the
       within writing and made Oath before me the Subscriber one of
       his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland that
       he saw the within Mary Holmes sign seal and as her Act and
       Deed deliver the within Writing for the Uses and Purposes
       therein mentioned and that the the said Joseph Haskins at
       the same time signed as a Witness thereto and saw the
       within named Alexander Dick and William Anderson also
       sign as Witnesses thereto In Testimony whereof I have
       thereto set my Hand the Eighteenth Day of November above
       mentioned in the Year of our Lord God one thousand
       seven Hundred and fifty Six
       Recorded Decem.r 6 1756

Ex.d This Indenture made the 16 day of November in the year of our
       Lord one thousand Seven hundred and fifty ^Five^ Between Edward
       Riston now or late of Prince Georges County in the Province of
       Maryland of the one part Planter and Edward Sprigg of
       Ann Arundel County in the Province aforesaid Gentleman
       of the other Part Wittness^eth^ that the said Edward Riston
       for and in Consideration of thirty Pounds Current Money     
       to him in hand paid at and before the ensealing and dilivery
       of these Presents Hath for himself his Heirs and Assigns
       Bargained Sold Transferred and Confirmed and doth by these
       Presents Bargain Sell Transfer and Confirm unto the said
       Edward Sprigg his Heirs and assigns for ever all that Parcel
